The Powered Life: Breaking Free from Perfectionism and Procrastination

Lately, I have thought about what it's like to really live and how much power there is in life and living. Living out your own dreams. Many of us get caught up in our heads, striving for perfection and putting off our dreams until the "perfect" moment. But what if I told you that perfectionism and procrastination are actually holding you back from living your best life?

What is it really like to make a mark in this world? Is it about the numbers more than it is  the level of impact? What really stands or sits at the core of our being? Do we ever sit down to discover our essence? Or do we just want to stay hidden behind masks?

Like you, maybe...I have found myself asking these questions over and over again. One of the things I have discovered is that, many times, it balls down to our thought- pattern and eventually decision-making. You see, it is in critical moments of our lives that we determine the trajectory of our paths.

Perfectionism is a toxic mindset that tells us we're not good enough, that we need to be better, and that anything less than perfect is a failure. As much as we need some level of 'perfectionism' to keep ourselves in check and be sure we're dishing out our best, having it in excess will develop into a never-ending cycle of self-criticism and doubt that can lead to anxiety, depression, and burnout. And procrastination? That's just the coping mechanism we use to avoid feeling like we're not good enough.

But what if we could break free from these patterns? What if we could learn to embrace our imperfections and take action towards our dreams, even when it feels scary or uncertain?

The truth is, making a meaningful impact in the world has nothing to do with numbers or external validation. It's about living a life that is true to who you are, and making a difference in the lives of others. It's about being brave enough to take the first step, even when you don't know what the outcome will be.

Breaking free from perfectionism and procrastination and living the life we truly want starts with self-awareness. We need to recognize our thought patterns and the ways in which they hold us back. We need to be willing to confront our fears and doubts, and to challenge the negative self-talk that keeps us stuck.

We need to learn to question our beliefs and to seek out new information and perspectives. We need to be willing to adapt and change our minds when necessary.

Finally, we need to make decisions that align with our values and goals. We need to be willing to take risks and to trust ourselves, even when it feels uncertain.

In the end, it's not about the numbers or the external validation. It's about identifying and evaluating whatever it is that has the potential or power to hold us back from reaching our full potential. It's time to get into shaping your path and creating a fulfilling life.

So, what's it going to be?
